Root Cause… Why a Blog?

Coming up with clear articulate ways to explain why I have chosen to start a blog has proven more difficult than I thought.

I am finding it hardest to let loose and allow my true voice to shine through my words.  I want to SPEAK MY TRUTH.  Hurting, stifled, all bottled up and ready to explode – not in anger – I will shed nothing but love and positivity onto the world.

Feeling misunderstood for far too long has made it hard for me to put my words out there.  My intent is to encourage, build, enlighten, educate, and further the collective wisdom that is human and nature.  I wish to bridge the gap between the natural world, which cannot speak for itself, and humanity.

I am vulgar, inappropriate, my mind lives in the gutter!  Sexual innuendos up the *blush*, I have a great sense of humor 😉.  I have a tendency to be honest to a fault.  I am learning my delivery needs finessing.  This blog is the sandpaper I need to smooth out my rough edges.

When I tune in and listen to the universe she never seems to surprise me.  What I hear and learn are often things I already knew deep down inside, I was just too stubborn to really hear and believe.  A recent Tarot card reading further cemented the knowledge I refused to acknowledge.

So, there I was with 6 cards laid out in a pattern, each position within the pattern, the symbol on the individual card, and its associated description combine to make its meaning and how it can influence a person’s life.  Below was my reading:

Afraid of the darkness that lies within me, writer’s block derived from the fear of outside judgement on my words (part of my PTSD), feeling a constant pull on my energetic being from all around, silencing my voice for concern of potential negative impacts on my career opportunities, perceptive abilities ignored for lack of clarity in actions to take, all resulted in extreme editing of all that is me.

The real, true version of myself has been lost to the fear of perception.  My words stopped for fear of misunderstanding.  My flow dammed by fear of rejection.  The message I received:  Stop concerning yourself with how others will receive you.  Act freely and fearlessly, for those that do not understand are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.  Those that seek your guidance will find what you have already offered, ceasing the pull and creating the space needed to honor not only your truth, but to guide others to theirs.

The sacred fool does not act without intention, rather without editing.

Foolishly, unabashedly, raw, unedited… But edited, ‘cause ya’ know, grammar…

Vulnerable.

This is who I am.  This is the world through my eyes.

I am FAR from perfect.  I reflect often and use those musings as tools to improve, learn, and grow.  I am a hard ass and expect effort.  Success comes to those who are willing to fail.  If you are too scared to try, I’ll show you why you shouldn’t be afraid.

Adventures in NevaNeva Land will not just consist of physical adventures, but also emotional, mental, and spiritual adventures.

I want to contribute in meaningful, heartfelt ways.  I want to learn more about every subject I can.  I want to help the world and all the creatures living in it.  The best way to help the world is to teach people.

My goal is to connect with folks who are looking for meaningful connections with like-minded humans.  I hope to help people learn how to be better, to plant seeds; lead the horses to water, and let them ponder whether or not they want to take a drink.  Not my kool-aid, but the universe’s.

My mission is to continue to look out for others as I hope they will look out for me and mine.  To help guide each person as they navigate this chaotic world, help show them a better way, help shift this world towards a more positive path.  If I am not holding myself accountable, I hope you all call me out on it!  Because I would do the same for you!

My purpose in life is to shift the narrative and help the world see that we are backwards.  I’ve felt ass-backwards my whole life, only recently realizing I am not.  I just see things from a different perspective and I see more than most (detail oriented with a big picture perspective).  And as a result, I feel different, I act different, I am different in the best of ways.  Neva fittin’ in, always standin’ out 😉

I aim to shift today’s throw away culture, to a more sustainable, regenerative way of live.  Living in symbiosis with our world, giving back more than we take.  Getting back to my roots.  Channeling my ancestors’ wisdom and guidance to help improve the world today.

We have finally started to recognize the power of the people.  Cancel Culture has taken root and people are no longer afraid to speak out against those that they feel are doing wrong deeds.  Unfortunately, much of this is happening in unhealthy, misinformed ways.  I fully encourage speaking out against what you think is wrong.  However, perspective is key to ensuring equitable outcomes.  Make sure you have information from all sides before adamantly cancelling your subscription to a certain topic.  And, don’t cancel it out so completely you never see another post or headline about the subject all together.

Blinding yourself, also known as avoidance, is not a healthy nor productive way to make changes.  We have to ENGAGE in MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS to fully educate our society about what really is right and wrong, and why.

Own your role in the situation, be honest with yourself about how your actions helped lead us to where we are, and truly try to see from a broader perspective.  These are the best ways to help drive the changes we wish to see in the world.

We are human.  We have compassion.  We would not be where we are today if it were not for the collective.  We have to understand how this drives our species forward and impacts the world around us.  Do not slam your door in the face of adversity.  Take a deep breath and walk through it calmly, facing everything thrown at you with grace, strength, and poise.

I have yet to perfect this, but after reflecting on my imperfect dealings I’m working to improve these conversations and situations with each opportunity.  When we collectively understand and appreciate our power, then and only then can we begin to move forward in a way that really strikes balance between humanity and the natural world.

ALL IN ALL, I want to help the world become a better place.  Better for us now and better for our children’s future.  We have long surpassed the tipping point and have thrown the balance of nature into a tail spin.  We are experiencing the power, the true force, that Mother Nature is and how aggressively she will push to rebalance herself.

That is the way of the universe, always seeking perfect balance.

We were created in perfect balance, so it is now up to us to help Mother Nature find her new center and rebalance the world for generations to come.  I wish to drive changes, no matter how small.  Whatever the outcome of my words landing on your screen and passing through your mind, maybe, just maybe, it will bring us back to LOVE.

I don’t want to sound preachy, I don’t want to lecture *I know, I know, I am my father’s daughter, so this is an active uphill battle*, I don’t want to condemn, nor reprimand.  I want this to be a safe space.  A place we can have open, honest conversations about all topics, including the taboo.  No shaming, no trolling, no guilt, no fault, no blame.  Only acceptance, understanding, and positivity.  Simply listen with an open mind and heart.  If you would like to add to the conversation, be respectful.  We can disagree, but that doesn’t mean we have to argue and disrespect one another.  I reserve the right to disable commenting on any post or block anyone instigating negative reactions.  Name calling and bullying will not be tolerated.
